GreeceATHENS (PIRAEUS)DELPHIEnjoy a scenic drive through the Greek countryside on your way to Delphi, once considered by the ancients to be the physical and spiritual center of the
earth. Set nearly 2,000 feet high on the slopes of Mount Paranassu, the Shrine of Apollo even today exerts a potent grip on visitors. During the height of its
glory, Delphi grew fabulously rich and although most of the magnificent structures have almost disappeared, you can still gaze upon these amazing ruins
and picture how life here must have been during its 1,000 years of prestige in antiquity. During your visit to the site you will see the Castalian Spring; The
Sacred Way, once lined with great statues and treasures; The Grand Temple of Apollo, beneath which the priestess Pythia sat; the theater with its excellent
acoustics; and the well-preserved stadium with the marble starting blocks in position. Adding to your enjoyment of Delphi is a panorama laid out before you
of incomparable grandeur. Your time here will also include a visit to the Delphi Museum where you will view such treasures as the Omphalos, which
marked the center of the world, and the glorious bronze Charioteer, one of the finest pieces surviving from the 5th Century B.C. At the conclusion of your
guided tour of Delphi, you will next travel to the village of Arachova, a popular destination for Athenians during the winter as the ski resort of Mt. Parnassus
is located close by. Here, you will be treated to a traditional Greek lunch before re-boarding your coach for the return to Athens.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 21/2 hours of walking and/or standing with a significant number of steps involved (approximately 50 steps),
plus any additional walking at the guestsʹ discretion during free time. At Delphi the surfaces are at times uneven and slippery; therefore, this tour is not
considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Comfortable walking shoes with non-slip soles are recommended. Order of sights
visited may vary. The actual tour duration may vary due to traffic conditions.
GreeceATHENS (PIRAEUS)CAPE SOUNIONThe Greeks chose their temple sites by considering both the natural beauty of the location and its appropriateness to the god in question. Nowhere is this
more evident than at the Temple of Poseidon, located on a magnificent seaside cliff on windswept Cape Sounion, the southernmost point on the Attica
peninsula. Itʹs a perfect spot for a temple dedicated to the powerful god of the sea. As you drive toward the cape, you will see the temple standing
majestically on a jagged spur. The panoramic view from this lofty spot is superb with the deep blue Aegean Sea studded with islands before you. Over the
centuries, the beauty of the surviving Doric columns has inspired countless writers and poets, including Lord Byron.
This tour includes approximately 1 hour of walking and/or standing and there is approximately 30 steps to negotiate at the Temple of Poseidon; therefore, this tour is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The actual tour duration may vary due to traffic conditions.
GreeceATHENS (PIRAEUS)ANCIENT CORINTH & MYCENAEYour tour begins at the pier where you will board your coach for a visit to the district known as Argolis. Located in the northeast corner of the Peloponnese,
this is archaeologically one of the most interesting areas in Greece. Traveling by motorway, you will journey around the Saronic Gulf, past Eleusis, to the
Corinth Canal, where there will be a short stop for you to appreciate a breath-taking view of this spectacular canal from the bridge that is suspended 200 feet
above the water. The Canal itself is four miles long, 75 feet wide and 26 feet deep and was only built in the 19th century, although many men in the past,
including the Emperor Nero had made previous attempts.
Leaving the Canal, you will continue to Ancient Corinth, a city blessed with a superb location, fertile plains and virtually impregnable refuge. Excavations
here reveal that the ancient city was both huge and wealthy; a survivor of numerous invasions but eventually devastated by earthquakes. St. Paul lived and
worked in Corinth for 18 months and the Bema (platform) where the Roman governor tried him is still visible. While here you will also see one of Corinthʹs
most striking ancient buildings - the Temple of Apollo, seven of whose original columns still stand. Enjoy a walk through the remains of the Market Place, a
colonnaded square once surrounded by many small shops and see the celebrated Fountain of Priene, which has produced water from the earliest times, and
the Lechaion Road, formerly the main thoroughfare to the port of Lechaion.
Proceeding on from Ancient Corinth, you will next travel to Mycenae where you will be treated to a typical Greek lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch,
your tour continues with a visit to the somber and mighty ruins of ancient Mycenae, vestiges of a kingdom that for 400 years was the most powerful in
Greece. You will enter the Citadel of Mycenae on foot, approaching it through the famous Lion Gate. Once inside, you can see the shaft graves discovered by
Schliemann and visit the Beehive Tomb, referred to sometimes as the Tomb of Agamemnon - the Greek Commander-in-Chief during the Trojan War.
Departing Mycenae, your coach will return you to the pier where your tour will conclude.
Please note: This tour includes approximately 21/2 hours of walking and/or standing and approximately 20 steps involved. At Mycenae the surfaces are
uneven and slippery; therefore, this tour is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. Comfortable walking shoes with non-slip soles are recommended. Order of sights visited may vary. The actual tour duration may vary due to traffic conditions.

goddess of Athens. As you walk up a winding path towards the awe-inspiring Acropolis, you will pass through the Propylaea and see the Erechtheum
temple, as well as the Porch of the Caryatids in the distance. Reinforced by the hand of man, the natural fortress of the Acropolis stands 230 feet above the
city, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area.
From the Acropolis, your tour continues with a 15-minute walk to the New Museum, where for the first time ever, all the surviving treasures of the Acropolis
can be seen together in one place. The collections on display include local findings of the Acropolis, Post Parthenon, Roman Period and the excavation site
when the New Museum was built. You wonʹt want to miss the highlight of the display, the Parthenon Frieze, which is located on the top floor.
Following your museum visit, you will re-join your coach for a panoramic drive through Athens, viewing the Parliament, the tomb of the Unknown Soldier
and the Stadium used for the Olympics, all while en route to your final stop. Arriving at the Plaka, you will be treated to a traditional Greek lunch, followed
by free time to explore the Plaka at your leisure. This lively area of the city is truly the heart of Athens and offers visitors a wealth of shops and galleries to
explore.
When your free time has concluded, you will meet your guide and coach for the transfer back to the pier where your ship awaits.

guests and is not consideredsuitable for those with mobility concerns. Lightweight clothing; a hat; sunglasses and flat, comfortable walking shoes are suggested.
GreeceATHENS (PIRAEUS)HISTORIC CORINTH AND THE CANALDriving southwest with the beautiful Aegean Sea in the distance, you will soon arrive in the once rich and powerful, ancient city of Corinth. Excavations
have revealed the cityʹs massive size and resiliency for surviving numerous invasions and earthquakes. St. Paul lived and worked in Corinth for 18 months.
The Bema platform, where the Roman governor tried Paul, is still visible. Similarly, seven of the original columns of the Temple of Apollo still stand. You can
walk through the remains of the Market Place, a colonnaded square once surrounded by small shops. See the spring-fed Fountain of Priene, which has
produced water since the earliest times, and the Lechaion Road, formerly the main thoroughfare to the port. Another marvel centuries in the making is
nearby Corinth Canal, which cuts through miles of solid rock. It opened in the late 19th century, but the first attempt to build a canal on the site was in the
7th century B.C.

GreeceSANTORINIVOLCANO, HOT SPRINGS AND WINERY VISITDisembark the vessel onto a local boat and sail to the lava islet of Nea Kameni. There you leave the boat and take an approximately 20-minute walk up an
ascending unpaved path observing the lava fragments and volcanic rock formations as you approach the crater of the still-active volcano. Once you reach the top, there is the possibility of seeing steam coming out of the craterʹs walls. Youʹll have time to relax, enjoy the view and take lots of photos.
After the descent back down the crater, you will reboard the caique to leave the volcanic island and sail towards the thermal springs at Palea Kameni. For
about 20 minutes the boatʹs anchor will dip into the green sulfuric waters and you will have the chance to swim in the warm waters of the thermal spring.
From the spring you will sail to the port of Athinios, where the buses will be waiting. Upon arrival at the port, you will board the buses and ascend the
colorful rocky sides of the caldera wall while enjoying panoramic views of Santorini and the caldera. At the top, you will be driven to one of the local

The stunningly gorgeous Island of Santorini, located in the middle of the Aegean Sea, has long been known as a romantic destination spot. But howʹs the
wine? With more than a 5,000 year history of growing grapes on Santorini, it really shouldnʹt come as a shock that the locals know what theyʹre doing, and
today are producing world-acclaimed and delicious wines. Today you have two goals - to learn more about Santorini wines and to take in some of the
gorgeous views of one of the most photographed locations in the world.
Your first stop is the village of Oia, located on the Caldera rim, and famous for its spectacular views. You begin your guided walking tour of the village
along the cobblestone streets that house the famous blue shuttered, white washed houses. This village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. Youʹll
have free time to sit in a café or visit one or more of the shops before we depart for the other side of the island.
You will drive to the North end of the island for a special tour and tasting at Domain Sigalas, the only Greek winery to be included into Wine Spectatorʹs
ʺTop 100 Wines of the Worldʺ list. Leaving Domain Sigalas, youʹll drive past many verdant vineyards before you arrive at the Boutari Winery. Boutari Winery
was founded by Yiannis Boutari, a Greek Winemaker whose influence over the Greek wine industry has been described by Wine Spectator as being ʺon par
with Robert Mondavi in the Napa Valley.ʺ Youʹll tour the winery and cellars then sample some of their award-winning wines. The winery will host you for a
wonderful sit-down, wine-paired luncheon.
Your drive around the island brings you back to the town of Fira. Bidding your guide good-bye, youʹll be free to spend the rest of your time on the island
however you choose. Stroll along the winding lanes or relax over an espresso while gazing over Kamenes, the two black volcanic islets in the bay below, itʹs
up to you. A short cable car ride down from Fira will bring you back to the pier, giving you one last chance to gaze upon the majestic views of this
picture-perfect Greek island.
Please note: This tour includes extensive walking, at times over uneven surfaces. The tour is not recommended for wheelchair guests and those with mobility
concerns are cautioned to evaluate their personal level of ability and stamina. Light-weight clothing; sun cap; sunglasses and flat, comfortable walking shoes
are suggested. On occasion, due to last-minute operational issues at the wine estate, an alternate winery estate of similar quality and ranking may be
substituted.
