March is a very active time of the year for yacht chartering in the Bahamas. The weather is beautiful not too hot and not cold. Enjoying a charter in the Exumas is ideal with many islands to explore, snorkel, dive, fish or just to relax in the water or on the beach. The challenge is chartering for one week will just give you a taste of the area. At a leisurely pace you may sail from Paradise Island visiting Allan’s Cay with the Iguanas, Norman’s Cay, Shroud Cay, many being part of the large National Park. You could spend many days in this area nourishing the soul before flying back to Nassau from Staniel Cay or continue down to Great Exuma and its areas of exploration.

Charter Yacht Dining at Its Best
Chef Patrick Roney of KAPALUA has been named the best Charter yacht chef at the 27th Annual Newport Spring Charter Show. His winning menu consisted of a tantalizing combination of three different textures, beginning with the most delicate flavor and moving to the more intense. His award-winning lineup included beet salad with horseradish chevre and poached oyster; oyster clam and chorizo stew in a grilled pineapple bowl; kale and chorizo ragu with garlic scape and scallion flan drizzled with scallion puree. Yum!
Although focused on contemporary American cuisine with California influences, Chef Patrick is happy to accommodate any requests that are presented to him.
While on board the KAPALUA, guest are not only treated to the most exquisite dining, but also a full array of water toys, a Jacuzzi, full-service bar, and an extensive entertainment center.
